Stage 1: Orientation

In the first stage of the Team Performance Model, group or work team members are seeking an answer to “Why am I here?”
These are some of the common inclusion-related questions that need to be addressed before the group can effectively move forward.

  • How will I fit into this team or group?
  • Will my skills be needed?
  • What kind of contribution can I make?
  • Will I be accepted by the other members?
